From Leviathan to Ephemeral Utopia

Set Design · Spatial Concept · Speculative Design

From leviathan to ephemeral utopia is a speculative set design project developed entirely as a work of imagination.

The project explores the idea of utopia through three buildings in three different cities in Lebanon, using their locations, histories, and existing conditions as the foundation for a wider spatial narrative. Rather than treating the buildings as neutral settings, the concept responds to what each place has experienced and what it represents within its context.

The accompanying video documents the development of the concept through a visual walkthrough of the three sites, showing how the idea of Utopia relates to their architecture, atmosphere, and past. It also acts as an experiential introduction to the proposed set design, helping communicate the project at the scale of each building.

The entire project, from concept and narrative to spatial design and visual development, was independently conceived and created by me. It was never intended for production, but instead as an exploration of what these spaces could become through an imagined intervention.

Further details on the concept and design development can be found in the project brochure featured on this page.
